Who we are

Under the Dark Sails Crew

We are survivors. We are allies. We are the Under the Dark Sails Crew.

Born from the shadows cast across the Faire, we are a collective of individuals who have experienced sexual abuse within Faire spaces—alongside those who stand with us in solidarity, accountability, and action. Our stories are not relics of the past. This harm continues, even now, and it demands to be seen, named, and addressed.

We gather not in bitterness, but in truth. Not in isolation, but in community. We are here to reclaim space, voice, and safety for all who have been silenced, dismissed, or endangered under the guise of tradition, performance, or camaraderie.

What We Do

  • Share Stories: We hold space for survivor narratives—raw, real, and resilient. These stories are not spectacles. They are testimonies of endurance, resistance, and the urgent need for change.

  • Offer Resources: From trauma-informed guides to legal protections and reporting pathways, we curate tools to support survivors and educate allies.

  • Build Community: We foster connection, care, and collective healing. Whether you are a survivor, an ally, or someone reckoning with complicity, there is room for you here.

Why We Exist

Because silence protects perpetrators, not survivors. Because Faire culture must evolve beyond nostalgia and unchecked power. Because safety is not optional—it is foundational.

We call on Faire organizers, owners, and participants to confront the harm that persists in their midst. To listen. To act. To transform.

We are Under the Dark Sails Crew. We are not going anywhere.
